TCC Security Systems - RFP-TC1017

The Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland (TCC) is renovating a 76,000 square foot facility and erecting a maintenance facility on a 26 acre campus in Salisbury Maryland. TCC is issuing this RFP for the installation and configuration of a comprehensive security system. This system will include an Alarm system, CCTV system and Access Control System.

Facility Location: 31901 Tri-County Way, Salisbury, MD 21804. The road was renamed from Comtek Lane earlier this year. The facility is located across Rt. 50 from Wor-Wic Community College and west of Walston Switch Road.

What is the designation for this project?What are the conditions for implementation?Is OSSI software a suitable alternative to what is spec'd in the RFP?is the selected bidder responsible for running the purple wire from each camera to the server room?Are the doors going to be prepared with the strikes?Counts on spec section 9.3.3. camera system schedule and floor plans do not match. Which one should we use?Are we to supply lock power supplies for all locks furnish by other?Checklist items appendix 2 ask for Add/delete pricing per cable configuration.Also in checklist items"Proposal Cost-Out Spread Sheet" was not included?Will the electronic latch be provided by the door vendor for the doors requiring this latch?Will the electronic latch locks require separate power supply and if so will that power supply be provided and installed by the door vendor? As detailed on the spreadsheet labeled “Access Control Door Hardware Schedule.xls” the doors already have magnetic locks and electronic strikes installed so the security vendor will just need to connect the locks to the newly installed access control system. Is that correct? 9.1.2.4: Will the power monitoring sensor be provided by the electrical? If so what type of signaling will be provided to the security system? 9.2.8.1: Has a phone vendor/or phone system been decided on and if so what is the specifications and contact information of the vendor? We will need 3 unique signals coming from the phone system in order to operate the 2 exterior doors and the elevator. Will it be the phone vendor’s responsibility to provide the signaling device? If so, what type of signals will be provided?
