FAQs

Are we to supply lock power supplies for all locks furnish by other?

All locks that need special power supplies will already be provided.  All other locks will be powered through the low voltage of the access control system.  TCC suggests centralized power distribution from the 1st floor server room where the system can be connected (plugged in) to power from the generator panel.  If the bidder wishes to do distributed low voltage power from various location throughout the building they are required to run 120VAC power from the generator panel in the server room to these locations.  Approximately five (5) exterior doors have been fitted with strikes that require 120VAC power.  TCC has had its construction electrician run this power to these doors.  All Mag-Lock doors will have power, request to exit and be connected to the fire alarm system by the construction electrician under a separate contract.
